We had to do a doll panel at 6PM. Please see the doll omake report to ready more on that. The Friday night brought forth a great concert across the Convention Center, plenty of swag to haggle for at the Swap Meet, late-night panels to attend, dances, and the chance to find old friends while meeting new ones.

But Tom and I didn't do any of the above that night, so we apologize for the lack of Friday night coverage. We instead participated in a Black Lagoon photoshoot. Tom didn't have a good feeling about participating, but nevertheless we did because some friends asked us to.

The photos probably turned out well, but the whole process should have been better handled. The organizers gathered a large group, but only used very few, leaving the rest behind with little communication over what was going on, who was needed, and when we could leave. Tom and I stayed for over two hours without food and water, waiting eagerly to be put to use. Tom contemplated leaving, but we stayed under the impression that we were filling in the photo shoot as a kind gesture to friends as friends. Time at this shoot would have been better spent partaking of the previously mentioned activities.

From now on we'll stick to covering convention activities actually related to the convention instead of milling around photo shoots. They're just simply not part of the convention. The convention may be a convenient way to gather people, but the photoshoot can just as easily be done outside of the convention hours. We can chalk this up to a learning experience: We learned who were true friends and who were not so true friends. And I learned that though Tom may have his unusual hunches and he may act about without rhyme or reason, there is usually a method to it all. So the lesson to take would be to trust your partner's instincts.

It was close to 10:30PM. Tom had arranged Traveling Valentine to see Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull at 10:50PM. At the same time, I had to wait on my friends, Kate and Thessa, to come to the movie theatre. We all trekked down to the Camera 12 Cineplex in downtown. The movie house was not too full and most of the movie goers were from Fanime. I even ran into Jenna there! Kate and Thess managed to arrive and find us as the movie went along.

All of us enjoyed Indiana Jones 4 for what it was - the return of a cinema legend, Harrison Ford. Without spoiling anything, all of us agreed that this summer film was "out of this world."
