At 6PM, I took part in the Asian Ball Joint Doll panel. I served as a panelist alongside Katie and Kelly of Dollectable, the San Francisco based ball joint doll convention. We invited attendees to our panel to place their dolls on the panel table. In addition, I also passed out issues of Haute Doll for panel attendees. There was a good mix of new doll fans and regular doll collectors. I also showed a video that I had created with my dolls that promoted Dollectable.

There were quite a few events going on Friday evening. However, the later panels did not tickle my fancy. I thought about attending the doll meet up that followed after the panel. Tom wanted to check out the swap meet to find more Transformers for his ever growing collection. Friday was also our Black Lagoon day. The story behind this is that a group of acquaintences from Southern California wanted to do a group photo shoot. They needed a Roberta because the original Roberta backed out. Because my friend's kid was cosplaying as Garbriel, I wanted to do it to make the youngster happy that she would have a guardian maid to protect her.

Tom cosplayed as Mr. Chang because of his love for John Woo films (A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, and Once a Thief). Though he had not seen Black Lagoon prior, it was something I recommended because it seemed like his style of character; Asian guy packing heat.

A few well known photographers showed up at the photo shoot. In addition, Stan and Deb were cosplaying as Rock and Revy earlier in the day. Stan stayed in his Rock costume, but Deb had to change out prior to seeing the movie.

Many thanks to Luna's little Chibi Gabriel for asking me to be a part of this shoot.

Lesson Learned: Destiny might just sneak up behind you.

It was close to 10:30PM. We bought tickets to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull at 10:50PM. At the same time, I had to wait for my friends, Kate and Thessa, to come to the movie theatre. We all trekked down to the Camera 12 Cineplex in downtown. The movie house was not too full and most of the movie goers were from Fanime. Jenna, one of my high school buddies was there. Kate and Thessa were able to make the showing too.

All of us enjoyed Indiana Jones 4 for what it was - the return of a cinema legend, Harrison Ford. Without spoiling anything, all of us agreed that this summer film was "out of this world." George Lucas certainly has lost his mind.
