Rimmerworld

"Can you imagine a society composed entirely of me?"

We gave our farewells to AX last night and were ready to hit the theme park belonging to Yuki- Nezu's more successful friend. I was dressed in a more relaxed version of Yuki and Victoria was Go-Gaia like. Disney had no problems with these costumes. Our tickets permitted us to traverse Disneyland AND California Adventure. Since neither of us visited Califorina (we only lived there) yet, we hit California Adventure first. Having California Adventure in California never made sense to me. Why do I want to go to a theme park to experience California when I already live in California? Maybe if they placed California Adventure in Idaho, I'd be more inclined to visit and see how the Idaho-ian people viewed Californians.

We arrived at California and already got stopped by the border patrol. They caught Victoria and I with glass bottles-- our drink rations for the park. They ordered us to get rid of them and not wanting to waste good soda, I tried drinking all three of the bottles that I packed. I got through two and decided not to risk getting too drunk too early. There were no other problems entering the parks. Victoria and I raided a few rides and locations. Trying to play "Spot the AX refugee" was challenging. We spotted only one group with someone wearing an Eva shirt.

01. Tower of Terror: Just like the one in Disneyworld. Pretty nice backstory and a fun drop. Though taking an elevator full of fanboys at the con center was scarier (and smellier).
02. Winery: Victoria left Sonoma to get away from the wine vineyards only to find them lurking at CA Adventure.
03. Exploratorium: I haven't been to this part of San Francisco yet.
04. CA Screamin': A fun roller coaster.
05. Malibomber: It's like being in one of those "test your strength" mallet games.
06. Beehive Swinger: A nice ride I used to enjoy in my youth.
07. Landmines: A little path with water shooting from various areas.
08. Mullholland Drive: Just like Great America's Psycho Mouse ride. My driving has as many twists, turns, and jerks.
09. Rocket Merry-Go-Round Thingee: Nice way to get a 360 degree view of CA Adventure. Got a few clips of the ride.
10. Mulan parade: Asian style parade. I nearly got hit by the lion dancer while filming.

I really was drinking both at the same time.
Victoria inside the Tower Of Terror Hotel.
Tom as Yuki as Jackie Chan as City Hunter in front of Jackie Chan's most recent movie.
Nice view.
Soon, this will be taken at the real Golden Gate Bridge.
Jack Sparrow cosplayer spotted.

CA Adventure was better than I expected. But I wouldn't want to spend the entire day there when Disneyland is right next to it. After those CA Adventure rides, we walked across to Disneyland. I'm not sure how many times I've visited Disneyland. But I figure I can count the number with both my hands and still have fingers to spare. And this is my first visit to Disneyland with a significant other.

Victoria was trying to break her record of rides/attractions/events experienced at Disney. With 10 already under our belt from CA Adventure, things were looking promising.

11. Firefighter's Sax Quartet: Sounded good. Took a film clip.
12. Jungle Cruise: Seems I always start my Disneyland trip with this ride. I filmed a bit there. The shop near there allowed for some "Fruits Basket" pictures with a certain relative and rat fans.
13. Tarzan: Never did this one before. Pretty fun way to summarize the movie.
14. Tom Sawyer Island: Never did this one before either. This would be a nice place to do a Battle Royale shoot.
15. Haunted Mansion: No matter how many times I go to this ride, I'm still impressed.
16. Winne the Pooh: I think that ride made me stoned.
17. POTC: Very relaxing. I fell asleep after the "Brides For Sale" area.
18. Indiana Jones: That woke me up. Difficult to film due to the darkness and sudden movements.
19. Some parade: Got to film Mickey from a distance.
20. Mattherhorn: The system went down and we were stuck in the middle of the ride.
21. It's A Small World: I heard the horror story of my aunt having to listen to the song for 15 minutes straight when the ride broke down. This was my first time on this ride and fortunately, we did not get stuck. Took several clips of random dolls on instruments to help with future MV projects.
22. Mickey's House: I never went here before. It was a nice house. There were lots of screaming kids wanting to see Mickey. Yuki-Nezu was envious of its friend.
23. Chipmunks' Tree: One of my favorite comedic pairs.
24. Laugh Factory/Post Office: Interesting. I got to make use of the bars for a Lupin-like escape.
25. Toon Park: Time to relax. And there's Goofy relaxing next to us.
26. Donald's Boat: Seemed to be experiencing renovation.
27. Cartoon Spin: The line was long but the Flash-Pass helped.
28. Mr. Toad's Wild Ride: First time I rode that one. I haven't seen that movie in ages.
29. Pinnochio: Another first.
30. Snow White: And another first. WTF was with the ending?
31. Garbagemen Band: Fun to film. Damned pedestrians kept ruining the shot though.
32. Star Tours: I always go on this one at every Disneyland visit.
33. Honey, I Shrunk The Audience: I wish I could have remembered Captain EO before they made this. I know Michael was scared of this ride's ending.
34. Matterhorn: The system did not go down this time.
35. Big Thunder Mountain:
Hard to film in such darkness.
36. Fantasmic:
Pretty cute.
37. Fireworks
: Very festive.
38. Splash Mountain:
I hate water rides, especially the wet ones. At least the camera remained dry.
39. Some Jazz Band:
Don't recall this one much.
40. Indiana Jones: Nice way to end the visit.

Lunch
Dinner at that pizza place in Tomorrowland
Farewell.

This has been one of my favorite Disneyland visits. I'm glad Victoria was with me to make it possible.
